Auction Status: Clone
A clone status
is assigned to a listing that will be loaded each time you run one of
the complete auction load processes. Part of each of these processes is
to check to see whether there are any clone records that would be
included in the selection and then to do a 'copy to pending' on all the
clone records satisfying the selection criteria. This then causes the
clone records to be loaded as pending auctions in subsequent task steps.
To create a Clone simply tick the clone box while creating or editing
your auction. Note that once you have ticked clone you cannot also tick
template (and vice versa); this is because under the covers a clone
auction is effectively a template with special behaviour.
A new pending auction record is created from any eligible clone record when the following functions are run:
- Load All
- Load Cycle
- Process All
- Load Schedule
This function is intended to provide a simple way of loading the same
product/s repeatedly from a single listing record in Auctionitis with a
minimum of intervention. The effect is the same as if Auctionitis was
started, the required template was selected and then the copy to
pending function was used to copy the template to create a new
listing.
