Bulk Update: Prices
Firstly select the records to be updated. Then select the Tools >Set Selected Prices menu option.
The
auction price calculation worksheet will then appear - this is a
powerful way to update your pricing in bulk in a variety of ways. This
allows you to see the prices as they would be applied to the listings
without having to go commit to the pricing beforehand.
Price Change Formula
The
pricing structure of an auction listed on Trade Me has three
components: Start, Reserve & Buy Now. There are some rules around
how these can be calculated set by Trade Me and Auctionitis have
included these rules when validating new prices.
Start Prices can be changed by the following options:

Reserve Prices can be changed by the following options:

Buy Now Prices can be changed by the following options:

Reserve Price is the Start Price plus/minus a % | | Start Price + Fixed Amount | Reserve Price is the Start Price plus/minus a fixed amount | | Reserve Price | The Buy Now is the same as the Reserve Price |
Setting
the Buy Now to "New Fixed Amount" of $0.00 will REMOVE the buy now from
all auctions. It will NOT cause your auctions to list with a buy now
of $0.00.
Entering a negative amount (ie -8.00) in the
percentage change, net change, Start + Percentage, Start + Fixed amount
fields will cause the price to reduce not increase.
Processing Options
Add a Buy Now if No existing Buy Now - tick this if you wish to add buy now to all your listings.
Rounding Options
The calculated prices can be rounded off to the closest 5, 10, 25, 50 cent or $1.00 amounts.
Actions
- Calculate - will calculate and display your new prices to review
- Reset - resets all calculations
- Apply - applies the new prices to the existing auctions
- Quit - Quits the Price Worksheet without saving
Warnings
When you are experimenting with new pricing some warnings may appear - generally these are just "for your information"
Your
potential new buy now price is lower than the start price - this needs
to be amended so the auction will load to Trade Me as the Buy Now must
be equal to or higher than the Start Price.
This is a warning for your information.
