Default Directories
The Directories Menu tells Auctionitis where to look for and store specific files. Any of these can be changed to suit the user.
Default Pictures Directory
It is recommended that all Photos associated with Auctionitis be put in a folder on the C drive that is not part of the Documents and Settings etc, and that sub folders are configured if required to manage photos.
This means that if an installation needs to be moved to another PC, or backed up having ll the photos in the one main directory then photos wont be lost or left behind. In the example below the default picture directory is c:/tm.
When the user goes to create a new listing, the picture file path will default there to save having to go through various directories to find pictures.
Directory to Store Data Files
Data Files is the base directory used to store data files
Directory to Store Log Files
Log Files is the directory that the Auctionitis logs will be stored in. The logs may be requested by Auctionitis Support to assist with support requests
Directory to Store Output Files
Output Files is the directory to which reporting output operations will be directed
Default Backup Directory
Backup Directory is the directory where backup files will be saved by default
