Editing Existing Listings
Sometimes the details of an auction record need to be altered or adjusted. As an example, this may be to add a picture, alter the pricing or to amend the description of an item.
Opening a listing for Editing
An existing auction record can be opened for editing in two ways:
- Double-click the listing in the console
- Right-click >Edit
Selecting either of these options will open the Auction Input screen with the details of the selected auction already loaded and available for editing.
Limitations on Editing
- There are no limitations on the information that can be edited in Auctionitis. All edits of auctions will be applied to the listing on Trade Me next time it is listed/relisted.
- Auctionitis does not update/edit auctions that are current/live on Trade Me.
- If an auction needs to be edited 'live' on Trade Me this must be done via your web browser. Remember to edit the auction in Auctionitis also at the same time if required.
- If an auction is not updated in Auctionitis, but is updated on Trade Me, when the auction is relisted or listed again from Auctionitis, the original Auctionitis data will be used in the relisting overwriting the manual changes made via your web browser.
- Photo's can also be added/removed/appended to auctions and will load to Trade Me with the next upload.
By definition, the Trade Me Auction record as viewed on the Trade Me web site must always be considered to be the correct version of the auction.
