Export Data to CSV
When selected, the Export Data to CSV option will create a CSV (Comma Separate Variable) File containing the records currently displayed in the Auction Grid. A standard Windows “File – Save As” Selection box is displayed before the .CSV file is created. The file will be created in the location specified in the File-Save Dialog box.
Enter the file name of the file you wish to create and select a file type. The file type may be either CSV or TXT depending on the import requirements of the program you are transferring the data to. Normally either file type will work equally well.
CSV files can be used for interchange and import of data between a wide variety of applications.
For instance Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and Microsoft Works all allow for either the import of CSV files or for these files to be opened directly. Many databases – including the popular MySQL database – can take advantage of CSV files to import data.
The data included in the output file is controlled by the Output Fields set up in the Auctionitis Options. If the output file contains no data or is missing columns, check that the required fields have been selected for output.
