Filtering Records
In
addition to sorting your auction records, it is also possible to filter
the records being displayed. This allows you to work in groups or
chunks of listings filtered by various different options.
To
filter your auction records select the value to be filtered on from the
drop down boxes located in the filtering area at the top of the auction
console:

The
example above shows the Status Filter being set to pending (to show
pending auctions in the Auctionitis database). By selecting unsold
from the drop down box the records will be filtered from pending to
unsold only. Once our example filter has been applied, the Auction
Console appears as follows:

Note
that the Status Bar at the bottom of the screen tells us how many
records have been displayed from the Auctionitis database. In the
above example it shows 16 for all pending records.
All other
records in the Auctionitis auction database still exist but are
currently hidden from view. Once you have filtered your records, you
can then click the field heading and sort these records further.
If
you think your auctions have 'disappeared' remember to set all the
filters to all, and ensure that the search function is not on.
You can also apply up to four filters
- Status:
Filter by the current status of the auction listing in the Auctionitis
Database - Closed, Pending, Sold, Unsold, Current, Clone, Template
- Relist: Filter by the relist status assigned to the listing in Auctionitis
- Cycle: Filter by Cycle Name
- Type: Filter by Product Type
Filtering is most useful when you want to work with a subset of records, for example:
- Updating auction listing details in bulk across multiple auctions
- Working with just pending auctions to see what auctions will be loaded
- Working with a set of templates to create your next listing set
- Working with unsold auctions to select them for relisting
