Importing Data from XML
Start Auctionitis and click File - Import XML Data

Select the XML file you wish to import. Click Open and the XML Import Manager will appear.

Auctionitis will check that the XML Manager and Auctionitis Build/Category Service Dates match on the XML file exported and the PC you are importing to. If they do not match you will receive an error message on the import manager.
If you ensured that both PC’s were on the same versions before beginning this process you will see the Import Manager as pictured above.
As with the export you have four import options to choose from:
- Add All XML Records to Database: This will add all the records in the XML file to the database on the new PC. If there are existing Auctionitis records on the new PC then the import will merge the two together. If a record is already on the new PC it will not be overwritten by the record exported via the XML.
- Add selected XML Records to Database: There are four options you can tick and turn on to further define what auction records you want to export. These are Auction Status, Relist Status, Product Type and Auction Cycle.
- Replace existing database with all XML records: If there are existing records on PC2 this will remove them ALL and replace them ALL with the records exported from PC1 via XML.
- Replace existing database with selected XML records: If there are existing records on PC2 this will remove them ALL and replace them with the selected records you have chosen exported from PC1 via XML.
- Choose your desired option and click the Import button.
- Auctionitis will import the auctions and when completed you will see a confirmation screen. Your auctions will now be available in Auctionitis.
