Limitations on Importing
Auctionitis supports a limited ability to import auctions from Trade Me. Due to the nature of the import process it is recommended this function be used to provide a jump start when first using Auctionitis or to provide assistance in the case of data loss. It is not a substitute for regular back ups or data maintenance.
Auctionitis does not import
- DVD listings that originate from the Trade Me Catalog
- Classified listings - prepaid listings for cars, boats, cattle etc
- Jobs, Rental Properties, Real Estate
The Import process does not import all auction data on each listing from Trade Me. In particular, it does not import the promotional options or more than the first photo on each listing.
Preparation for a successful import
- Log into Trade Me. Go to My Trade Me >Unsold auctions and remove any unwanted old auctions that are no longer required for reporting purposes or importing into Auctionitis. Repeat this for items in My Trade Me >Sold.
- Run the individual import processes required or import all to add the auctions to the the Auctionitis database.
- Edit auctions to add any additional pictures or promotion options, product data or relisting options.
Importing From Other Auction Websites
Currently Auctionitis does not support the ability to import listings from other auction websites.
