Listing Troubleshooting
Sometimes auctions just will not load due to Trade Me changes,
temporary outages or other obscure reasons. Check the Auctionitis Website for any status notifications or updates. Common reasons for auctions not loading include:
You receive an error message saying your User ID/Password may be wrong or you do not appear to be connected to the internet
- Check your userid, password and e-mail address are entered in Auctionitis correctly
- Check you are connected to the internet
- Check your firewall settings and ensure Auctionitis is allowed to access the internet "everytime" in all your firewalls
- If
these settings are correct the most likely cause for this error message
is that the Trade Me servers are unreachable. This is the same as
getting the 500 server error busy message. This can happen at busy
times or if your ISP is experiencing connectivity issues. Try again
later.
Your pre-paid Trade Me account is in debt
- Check
your Trade Me account and if necessary top it up
- The Log File will show an error
message indicating auctions not listed due to insufficient funds
Incorrect Category Service Date or Auctionitis Build Number
- Check your category service date is current via the Utilities menu
- Check your Auctionitis build is current via the auto updater or the Utilities Men
- Check the Auctionitis Website for news or outages
Listing Limit Exceeded
- If you have configured Auctionitis to monitor your listing limit *** then you may have exceeded it
- Viewing
the log file at c:/program files/auctionitis/logs will show a message
'error: unable to load auction - listing limit exceeded
Auction title contains phrase/word with more than 20 consecutive characters and no spaces - Edit the auction so no words or strings of letters are greater than 20
characters. .....words.....written.....like....this or
~~~~like##this##~~~~
Pay Now is selected but exact shipping costs are not stated or the item $1000 or greater in value - Trade Me require that all auctions with Pay Now selected have specific shipping costs and not exceed $1000
Invalid Auction Status - Clone Auctions: will only load with Load All, Load Cycle, Process All and Load Schedule
- Closed Auctions: can not be listed or relisted. Copy the Closed auction to new to create a Pending auction
- Current Auctions: are live on Trade Me and can not be listed again unless a new copy of the auction is made
- Held Auctions: will not load to Trade Me. Unhold them if you wish to load them
- Pending Auctions:
will list with Load All, Load Cycle, Process All, or Load Schedule
functions. If auctions can not be loaded to Trade Me they will remain
in pending
- Relisted Auctions: have already been
relisted. We recommend deleting all auctions with a Status of relisted
as a copy of the auction will be in "current" one the auction is
relisted
- Template Auctions: will not load. Use the "copy
to new" function to create a pending auction ready to be loaded or on
which you can perform further editing
- Sold and Unsold Auctions:
can not be listed with a Load All, Load Cycle or a Load as they have
already been listed and sold. They can be relisted providing a relist
status is assigned to the auction in Auctionitis. This can be done at
any time. Auctions will then relist either until sold, permanently or
while stock remains in Auctionitis. Sold Auctions with a cycle assigned
will only be relisted when a relist cycle is performed
