Copy and Load What about Relisting? More Tricks for using Sella
Copy and Load
This method works well if you have a range of products but they are mostly one offs or of limited stock. You may find varying this to meet your specific needs works well.
- Set up your Sella Account
- Set up Sella Payment Instructions etc
- Configure Auctionitis for use with Sella
"The best way to approach things is to run the same listings on Trade Me and on Sella. This is the process we use to achieve this"
- Copy and convert your current TradeMe Auctions to Sella Auctions
- Set your filters to Site: Trade Me and Status: Current
- Tools >Select All
- Tools >Copy Selected to Sella
- Set your Site filter to Sella and Status to Current
- Review the listings and hold or delete any you do not wish to load to Sella
- Sella Menu >Load All Auctions
- Log in to Sella.co.nz and check that they are loading up and let it run
What about Relisting?
The following week delete all the Sella auctions from Auctionitis so you can start afresh. Why delete all Sella listings?
- If you are listing on Trade Me as well, you will have sold some items during the week. Instead of working out which ones, and then deleting them all by hand you will save a bunch of time starting over each week
- This process ensures you remove auctions sold on Trade Me that week. Also any new auctions you’ve loaded to Trade Me will be included in the Copy All to Sella
More Tricks for using Sella
- Load to Sella once per week. Don’t worry about having some auctions finishing each night
- Don’t worry about auction end times on Sella. Just get your stuff up there. Or if end times are a concern you can set the scheduled end time using bulk data update function. Sella don't charge for a scheduled end time
- If you have $1 reserve auctions on Trade Me make sure you don’t accidentally load them to Sella also if they are one offs or you don't wish to run $1 reserve auctions on Sella
- The chances of on the same item selling on both sites during the week is pretty low, so I wouldn’t worry about removing sold Trade Me items from Sella during the week.
- Just set and forget. Don’t bother listing products again during the week, or adding new products. Just copy over your Current Trade Me auctions once a week
- We were originally very apprehensive at first about having to manage another trading site, but the Auctionitis system makes it easy to do
- You’ll still sell more on Trade Me but whether you are big or small it’s a great idea to get some extra exposure on Sella. They even let you list your contact details. A no-brainer!
