The Standard Terms Footer
Many users have a standard blurb or footer at the end of their auction description. This is usually a list of standard terms and conditions they wish the bidder to abide by. When this footer text changes it is a laborious process to edit each individual auction.
The above listing has an example of standard terms and conditions highlighted. The seller has chosen to use this function to specify their listing conditions and also to cross promote with other sellers.
These are appended to the auction description (see the example above) when the auction is loaded to Trade Me or Sella not as a comment on your auction.
You can include seasonal greetings or special messages which remain searchable on TradeMe since they are in the description, but can be easily removed once the message is no longer relevant.
For example you could add to the Standard Terms & Conditions "Check my listings for more Fabulous Fathers Day $1NR Listings" and when Fathers day is gone, simply remove that line from the standard terms and conditions and it will not appear on future listings.
If you do not wish use this function simply leave the Standard Terms & Conditions box blank. Separate Standard Terms & Conditions boxes are available for both Trade Me and Sella.
Use the standard text function to:
save and recall snippets of text that are entered often into auction descriptions, but are not used in all auction descriptions. Use the standard terms and conditions function to: add a block of text to the bottom of the auction description on every auction that is listed with Auctionitis.
