Error Updating Auctionitis: Bad CRC Token
CRC means Cyclic Redundancy Check. It is a basic way of ensuring that the data is all there in the downloaded file.
When downloading Auctionitis or doing a build update you may receive an error message "Error: Bad CRC The setup files are corrupted; please obtain a new copy of the program."
- This most commonly occurs in the following situations:
- The download times out between your PC and our Server
- The connection to our server is reset or unable to be made
- Your internet connection briefly times out(even for a few seconds that may not be noticeable to the user)
- Your cache or hard drive is full or nearly full
- The information your browser stores is sometimes incomplete or corrup
If you receive this error complete the following steps before trying to download or update again
Clear your internet cache including all offline content and downloaded files and delete any previous downloaded Auctionitis files from your downloads/desktop/where you request your browser to save files to.
Turn off all other applications on the PC interacting with the internet to save bandwidth and try the download again preferably during non-peak hours (before 6pm).

- From the Safety menu in the upper right, click Delete Browsing History
- Check Temporary Internet files, Cookies, and History, and then click Delete

- From the Tools menu in the upper right, select Delete Browsing History
- Next to "Temporary Internet Files", click Delete files
- To delete your cookies, click Delete Cookies
- Click Close, and then click OK to exit
Firefox 3.5
- From the Tools menu, select Clear Recent History
- From the Time range to clear option select Everything
- Click the down arrow next to "Details" to choose what history elements to clear (e.g., check Cookies to clear cookies). Include all temporary files and offline data
- Click Clear Now
