Updating existing Sales & Customer Records

If the sales record already exists in Tradar, the newly downloaded record is compared to the existing record. If the new record is different to the existing record then the data has been updated on TradeMe and the altered details need to be updated in Tradar.

 

These are the fields that can be updated after the initial sale record is downloaded:

Changes to Tradar

Buyer Delivery Address

This is the address the customer can send through TradeMe

Tradar updates the existing customer record, and sales record with the new address.  Previous sales records for this customer are not updated, to reflect the fact the parcel may have been sent to a previous or alternative address

Message from Buyer

This is a message the customer can send with their delivery address

Tradar updates the existing sales record with the new buyer message

Success Fees

These are the fees paid to TradeMe when an auction is sold successfully

When a fee refund is claimed and approved this will change back to $0.00

 

Refund Status

This is the status of your fee refund - pending, successful, declined.  In some instances Fee Refunds are automatically approved by TradeMe

In some instances Fee Refunds are automatically approved by TradeMe.  When a fee refund is approved, Tradar automatically marks that transaction 'delinquent'

 

Notes

This is the notes field in the Sold Section of My TradeMe

If the notes field in Tradar is blank, the notes from the sold record on TradeMe are imported and updated.  If the notes field in Tradar is not blank, then the notes are not updated.  After the initial import from TradeMe we recommend keeping notes in one place or another for a consistent approach.

Listing Fees

This is listing fees such as high volume listing fees and classified listing fees charged by TradeMe at the time of placing a listing

In some instances listing fees are refunded by TradeMe and the listing fees will change to $0.00

Promotion Fees

This is the different promotional fees that can be charged by TradeMe such as gallery, feature combo etc

In some instances promotion fees are refunded by TradeMe and the listing fees will change to $0.00

Pay Now

This is changed when a buyer chooses to pay with PayNow

When a customer chooses to pay by Pay Now this is updated in Tradar.  Note that when a refund is issued via PayNow by the seller, this is not currently updated/reflected in the TradeMe download.

 

Sales with PayNow automatically have the payment received details in Tradar updated - The address received and payment received are ticked, and the payment method and date are specified.

 

Most changes to the sales records are recorded in the log section of the Sales Transaction Maintenance Menu screen.
